Twirly Twine to go!

This giveaway includes everything you need to create some cute “twiney” projects! You will receive each Twirly Twine color, 24 crafting tags, and a sampling of Mod Podge.

Remember, wrapping balloons with string and glue in elementary school? Once it all dried, you would pop the balloon and have very unique party decor. Now you can create your own Twirly Twine embellishments! Twirly Twine is the perfect pop of color to any project!

    Wow..what a FAB load of scrappy goodies to giveaway : ) One of my fave ways to use twine on my projects is with paper piercing. I will paper pierce a design on my project and run some twine through the holes to create a twiney design…hearts, balloons, swirls etc. Love using twine!!

    What a fantastic prize! I haven’t used twine very much, mostly because I’m hoarding what little I have. I do like how twine is used as the tails on kites, on banners, and to trace the flight path of butterflies.

    Not really a technique but I love using twine in place of ribbon and bows. I have 2 boys and sometimes I just need something to make a layout or card pop and I find sometimes ribbons and bows to “girly” so I use twine instead!

    Awesome giveaway!!! How nice you are! I love twine and tags. I use twine when I can. Like some I don’t have very much and would love to win so I can play more. The last thing I used twine on was to make flowers. I put a little glue on a small circle piece of paper and started wrapping the twine in a circle until I filled the paper. I then cut out some shapes and made a paper flower and inserted my twine piece in the middle of the flower pedals to complete my flower. Love making flowers and using twine. I havent had the chance to use Mod Podge yet. would love a try with that too. Thanks for the chance to win.

    WOW O WOW!! Mod Podge is only easily bought online in Northern Ireland, but Twirly Twine is much harder! I have seen so many things made using them, & would love to have a go.

    If I was to win, the Twirly twine would be transformed into little amigurumi creature keychains to be sold at a local fundraiser for a Childrens’ cancer charity. LOVE it!!! :)

    I love to use twine as a “clothesline” for my tiny little origami dresses that I use on tags and cards. It’s rusticity adds to the shabby/vintage feel I am going for. I also have made lollipop flowers with twine (but truth be told, you have to use so much of it and I am such a hoarder of my beloved twine). The simplest idea that makes the biggest impact is to thread it through button holes and to wrap it around your tags, bags, and cards.

    My favorite project to use the twine for is miniature string art. The dual colors also help the art to pop and the twine is sturdier than most string so it won’t knick and fray in the process. I make them on a smaller scale because they’re less time consuming, but combined in various shapes and with the different colors of twine, it makes for some great conversational wall art.

    I have been a fan of Modge Podge for MANY years. And I am a huge fan of the twine. I have used it in so many different ways its really hard to pick one favortie.     This year I borrowed this idea from someone doing a December Daily — I wrapped presents in plain brown paper and tied them with twine instead of ribbon — “Brown paper packages tied up with string….” Love this give away!

  163. I love using twine. In fact I think I think I use it more than ribbon now. I love picking out three or four colours and using it to accent cards and tags. I wrap it around elements or tie bows and knots. I like using it to faux sew buttons onto pages and card fronts. I use a glue dot to tack it down solid in the back and stick it to the paper.

    Ooh, such yummy twine!! I like to incorporate twine randomly in my art journals for a pop of texture. In scrapbook pages I like to glue them randomly, make a bow or attach it to a tag, or hang things from it on my mini albums :) Thanks for the chance at winning such a great prize!

    Oh Boy lol My favorite technique using twine? That’s a difficult one to answer. Of course I’ve used it for tags etc. But it’s AWESOME for crafting. I’ve made ornaments with it and my children and I have made Friendship dolls made with clothes pins as well as Friendship bracelets. We decorated pencils for holidays and in their school colors and just all sorts of things. It a very useful product with ENDLESS possibilities. :) Thank you. :)

  243. Oh my goodness… my favorite twine techniques would have to be braiding them together or using twine for bows on layouts and cards. Twine just shows up better than thread on layouts and can be easier to work with…!

    I love these new colorful twines. They remind me of when I was a kid and they would use them on packages of my Dad’s Shirts. Also when we would go to the bakery and pick up Pastry! Now I’m showing my age. Dad’s shirts where either in a cardboard box or wrapped in brown paper then the bundles of shirts where tied together with the white and colored twine. Brings back memories.

  263. I love using twine for different things! Sometimes I use it to make Gift Cards or Hang Tags unraveling it to create different textures on my card stock or Gift package Tags. I also use it unraveled to create Kitty Whiskers on my Scrap booking as well as sewn projects! The possibilities are endless! Crochet with it, Whisker it, Scrap it, blanket stitch it, ect.

    Remember string art, run it through paint and then place on paper and pull it through … same technique, you might want to put on some gloves, but moisten twine with ink and place between cardstock and peice of scrap paper or another piece of cardstock to be used on a different project. Adds a little color and interest to a plain background!

    I made a card for my friends birthday and I used the Dime Store Vogue Sheets ans Tags. I used Diamond Glaze on the buttons, punched holes in them, and strung them with Twirly Twine. It was sublime.
