My kids get new green shamrock t-shirts every year for St. Patrick’s Day. Then we eat only green foods. Salads and veggies of course, but then we mix it up with green drinks, green pasta, green frosted cupcakes etc. Then we write down on slips of paper why we are lucky to have each other and put them in a jar and pull them out and read them together. :)

  7. Gail C says:

For years, my grandfather believed that if you walked through the door of your house waving $$ in the air you would have good financial luck all year – something to do with our Irish heritage, “green”, the pot of gold and the leprechaun. So, to honor him, I wear green and I always make sure to walk through the door of our house waving dollar bills in the air. Ya just never know if he was right. If I win this give-away I will be scrapping with new goodies on St. Patrick’s Day though – love this fun stuff! Thank you -

ST. Patrick’s Day is one of my fave holidays because my favorite color is Green! I try to incorporate that all day! So I wear green clothes, use a green pen to write, cook lots of green food. If I watch a movie, I try to find one with the word green in the title or has something to do with Ireland! (I know I’m a geek but there are a few of them! One of my faves is Fried Green Tomatoes which I watch every St. Patrick’s Day)Anything I can do to celebrate green!
